Thursday Oct. 30th. 2008 A True love for God

Mark right now has nothing but the purest thoughts. He has been reborn (Uncle John said he would be renewed when he awoke). He does not see the world as we see the world.  Mark sees it in his honesty. So often we see things thought a tainted view. Seeing things only as we see them ,not as they really are. The Lord say we should try to see things the way He does. The lord said we should become as little children before him. A child seek a adults love they find security in what it will give. They don't have a motive other than simply wanting our love. As we grow into adults sometimes we think that we no longer need that same love that once was sought. But in reality we are lost with out it. A loneliness sets in or maybe distorted views we don't always see things for what they are and we become harden and we cant see things in truth.

I really love what I see in Mark right now he only see things as pure love. No cloudy thoughts. No distorted opinions. No hurts that would make him put up defences,or cause pain because he would feel it was deserved, because someone hurt him. Thank you Lord for allowing me to see this in Mark. Teach me to see though your eyes. Teach me to see more clearly. Give me a pure heart. A heart that can come before you and not be ashamed for the things that my heart might feel.

I went to see Mark around 3:40 pm. My Mom had just told me that they took his tracheotomy out and he was done with his therapy. I just wanted to see him for a few moments before he went to sleep. I knew he would be tired from all the work he had done today. I was not able to see him in the last to 2 days because so often when we are allowed to see him he is tired and we know how important it is to let him rest so that his mind can heal. So we will let him rest. The hospital is saying that we are only allowed two at a time and this is very hard for us because we have such a big family and all of us love Mark so much. We can not all get as much time to see him as we would like. I was happy for just a few brief moments today. Mark told me he loved me and that Hank and I could stay up their with him and Ronnie, he pointed to one bed in the room and said he and Ronnie could stay in that one. And then he said Hank and I could stay in his bed he had been sleeping in . This warmed my heart because this was a expression of Mark's love for us, see we have been extremely close our whole life and we have not been away from each other very often. We have been to Australia together, we had gotten our scuba licence there and when I was expecting my 5 child Hank had told Mark that if this one was a boy he would name him Mark after him, because they were best friends growing up. Mark was thrilled, this would be the first name sake Mark would have because he has 3 girls. We have 3 girls .Then we had 3 boys. Mark is my second boy. My bother was so thrilled to have Mark for a name sake, just as I was when he named his first born girl after me, Melynda.

"I can't tell you how we can't wait until you are better so we can see more of you. You have been a great big brother, and I love all the things we have shared throughout the years, I love you Mark. Thank you Ronnie for taking good care of Mark."

To the hospital I would love to sit back quietly and just observe things he is doing, but most of all, I would like for my Mom to get to be there. Her heart is torn when she is not allowed to be with Mark. He is her first born son and she loves him dearly. Mark has had a nick name for as long as I can remember and it has been Mother's Cookies because he loves his Mom, and our Mom has always catered to Mark. You see I know that same of kind love. I have it for My children. A person can not explain it but you would do anything for your child and it brings you such great pain to see your child suffer in any way. All my Mom's desire is to be in the room with her son, she does not care if he is awake or asleep. I wish the Hospital could see she would not be in the way, she would be quiet. She is anyway, simply by her own nature.

Wednesday Oct. 29 Th. 2008 Mark Fast Recorvery My love for Hank and Gods Love for me

Mark has been recovering way faster then the nurses and doctors would have ever expected , we have heard from about 8 different nurses that Mark is a Miracle. It is so nice to here that from people, and I say "isn't it wonderful to see it!" Mark got the catheter out yesterday. It had been bothering him for a few days. Mark also will tell someone when he has to use the rest room he has been doing that for a few days now .The doctor said this is really big because people with this type of head injury, normally would not occur so quickly . This is one of the last things to happen, they could not believe that he was doing this. they have increased marks therapy he is doing . This makes Mark alot more tired. I went to see him and he was sleeping so I let him rest. I love you Mark and I am so happy that you are getting better faster.

I woke up thinking about the love I have for Hank. This was my thought. My love for you Hank is deep I have been blessed to have you as my husband.You care about my needs .You do everything that you can to give me anything I want out of love for me. I love your Companionship.Our thoughts we share. When you are away I long for you. I miss your every being. I know with assurance and confidence that I am yours.

Then I thought how god loves me. O Lord you are in my inner most being.You hear my every thought, you listen when I speak even when I whisper, you listen .You care about My every need The love you have for me I can not comprehend. Thank you for Loving me . I love you Lord

Gods love for us is a unconditional love. Even when we are not always in his will he still loves us. We as human beings sometimes can not see this because we think we have to do something or be a certain way for him to love us, but we are wrong. He loves us, and wants to have a relationship with us. He wants our companionship, he wants us to love him. So many people think that they are unworthy but he has made a way through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ His Son. He forgives our sins through the cross.

Tuesday Oct.28 2008 you are a loving God and your will is for us to seek you

Since Mark's accident we all have let alot of things go. Our family's hasn't had the attention that they normally would get. I have seen how all of them are missing the tender loving touch, smile or even just our presence sitting next to them or hug that they would normally receive. I have seen jealousy come out in some of them for my attention. It is only normal for this to occur because God created us to long for companionship not just with people, but with him. Anger has risen in some of my children because I have been spending so little time with them. Why would God settle for less than what we as human beings require from our loved ones . God created Adam to fellowship with him. God's desire is for us to simply love him, and to seek him so that we might know how much He loves us. This is God's desire so that we might have a deep, intimate relationship with him above all things. God wants us to love and seek him out of our own desire. not out of being made to. We should desire to fellowship with him. For love that has been freely given is true love indeed!

Monday Oct. 27th 2008 God you are Great to us

Mark ate crackers and cheese today. He ate pudding and ice chips. He grabbed one of Ronnie's cokes and tried to twist the lid off. Lilly and Lenny were going to get movies for Mark, Ronnie said "I'll go with you." Mark said "I guess I'll just stay here." He watched a movie with a smile on his face. Mark also said "I have a 50/50 chance of getting out of here with Dad's help"

Mark visited Dad, Hank, Lenny, Sunnie, Dain, Charles and his girls. Mom and I were there also. Mom and I said goodbye to Mark. Mark said "Bye Mom I love you and I love you Melynda." Mark was pretty tired today because of all the therapy. There is one concern that we have and we are calling on all of you who have been praying for Mark. We are concerned for his short term memory. The doctors have not spoke of this yet but we are concerned that he might not remember things that have happened recently. Thank you in advance for all your prayers. God has told us to pray specifically for our needs and I hope that this prayer will stay in your hearts.

I look up the meaning Gracious in Vines Dict. chanan " to be gracious, considerate to show Favor," Gen. 33:35 Chana may express"generosity," A a gift from the heart, Ps. 37 :21 God especially is the source of undeserved "favor,"Gen.33:11, and as only he can do, Num.6 :25 Gen. 43:29. God"s "favor" is especially seen in His deliverance from ones enemies or surrounding evils, Ps. 77:9 , Amos 5:15 However, God extends His " graciousness " IN His own sovereign way and will, to whomever He choose, Exod. 33:19

May we always have reverence for you Lord, God our King and help us to be obedient to your will.

Sunday October 26th 2008 Mark and Lamantations

I went to Church today the worship and services was very good. Pastor Greg was saying how we should stand in and pray for those who need prayer. That is what Pastor Greg did for us, he came to the hospital and prayed with us. I felt more at peace after he had prayed .Today I gave a testimony on how God had saved Mark. Isn't this what God has told us to do. Tell all the world great things he has done for us. It feels good in your soul to give God the Glory for things he has done.

I went to see Mark after Church. He looks good, he has had alot of visitors today. It looks like he really is enjoying everyone that has come . My father and mother in law Henry and Alice came by he enjoyed seeing them. Henry made Mark laugh alot. Alex and Kathy came up to see Mark right after Henry and Alice left. Then Chad and Cheryl came by, Mom and Cheryl said Mark loved seeing their baby Cierra and all the other kids. Everybody can not believe how well he is doing . I love seeing how excited everyone is for Mark. God has been very good to us. I could never write down in words how Grateful I am to him or how much I love him for what he has done for us.
Every time I turn on the T.V., I have been seeing what a state our country is in and I'm not turning it on that often but it never seems like anything good is going on.

I woke early this morning about 4:00 a.m. out of the blue. The Lord spoke to me and said "Mark and Lamentations" . I was telling my sister Nellie what had happened and how I could not remember if Lamentations was a book in the Bible or just an area in the Bible. She told me she thought it was a book in the old testament. I decided to read it. This book is only 5 chapters, it is not long but it is what happened to Jerusalem when they forgot God. This is what the Lord laid on my heart when I read Lamentations.


Lamentations 1: 9
9 Her filthiness clung to her skirts; she did not consider her future. Her fall was astounding; there was none to comfort her. "Look, O Lord, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed.


This scripture refers to fulfillment of Deuteronomy 32:28-29
28 They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them,
29 If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be!

Lamentations 2:16-19

16 All your enemies open their mouths wide against you; they scoff and gnash their teeth and say, "We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for; we have lived to see it."

17 The Lord has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his word, which he decreed long ago. He has overthrown you without pity. he has let the enemy gloat over you, he has exalted the horn of your foes.

18 The hearts of the people cry out to the Lord. O wall of the Daughter of Zion, let your tears flow like a river day and night; give yourself no relief, your eyes no rest.

19 Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.

This was foretold that this was going to happen to Jersulam because of the sins of the people. God is bringing about correction to draw people near to him through their sufferings. When there is prosperity, so often we forget about God.

Lamentations 3:21-28

21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

22 Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

24 I say to myself, " The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for him."

25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;

26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.

28 Let him sit alone in silence, for the Lord has laid it on him.

God wanted the people to repent and to see their sins for what they were.

My thoughts:

So often we as human beings forget what we have, until it is taken away from us. When what is taken away from us is restored to us, we then see the value of what it was to begin with.

TO SEE GOD'S GLORY

When we repent for our sins we see God's glory for what it truly is. It is an act of Love on our behalf. Paid by Christ. Also we see our sin for what it is and how it separates us from God. The price paid for our sin was done out of Agope love. Christ died on the cross for us out of Agope love. (Vine's concise dictionary of the bible says, Agope love means to describe the attitude of God towards his son and the human race, generally and to such as believe on the Lord Jesus Christ particularly to convey his will to his children concerning their attitude one toward another and toward all men, to express the essential nature of God. Love can be known only from the actions it prompts. God's love is seen in the gift of his son. Love had its perfect expression among men in the Lord Jesus Christ.)

The meaning of Glory---Pertaining to the use of it in this phrase.

It is used of the nature and acts of God in self-manifestation what He essentially is and does, as exhibited in whatever way. He reveals Himself in these respects, and particularly in the person of Christ, in whom essentially His "glory" has ever shone forth and ever will do (John17:5,24)

5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

24 Father I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

I have been listing to Casting Crows Cd a song on here reminds me of Lamentations and of our country we were founded on God fearing people .

Saturday October 25th 2008 Ronnie's birthday

I decide I would watch my sister Lilly's kids today so that my sister could go spend time with Mark .When I went to her house to pick up the kids, I loaded them in the car so she could get on her way.  I looked in my rear view mirror and seen the beautiful smiles on Ben and Elizabeths faces. Ben has two big permanent spaced front teeth and Elizabeth has one big permanent tooth. This brought a smile of joy to my face. How wonderful it is to be blessed with little ones that are so innocent (sometimes). They truly are a gift from God.

It is Ronnies birthday today and her girl Melynda has been wanting to give her a birthday party. Ronnie never told Melynda about her dad until today because she thought that it was best because she has special needs and Ronnie thought it would be too hard for her to handle until her dad got a little better. I came up later with the kids for Ronnies birthday. There was Marie and the baby Lizzy, Billie, Rena, Emily, Henry, Mark, Ben, Niece Melynda, Elaine, Nellie, Mom, Lilly, Sunnie girl, Elizabeth, and Baby Lenny. We were all out in the lobby waiting for Mark to come out and have cake and to watch Ronnie open up all of her presents. I was in the room with Mark when he was getting into the wheelchair to go out to the party.  This is very hard for Mark to get from the bed to the wheelchair as it takes alot out of him. We got him situated and took him out to the lobby. When he saw everyone he started to cry. I picked up baby Lizzie (Marie and Charles Baby)  Mark has not seen her for two months, he stopped crying and smiled at her and she smiled back. Then he said "she has gotten big". We all smiled. We started the birthday party and Mark enjoyed watching Ronnie open her birthday presents. Mark was too tired to stay for cake, so we took him back to his room so he could rest. We are so grateful to you God for giving Rhonnie her Husband,  the girls Father, our Brother and Mom and Dads Son back to us.

Friday Oct. 24th 2008 Mark is amazing he is doing great

I woke up this morning and was thinking how empty my life would be without God. God you have filled my every being and taken away all my sorrows. You are Lord of my life and I choose to follow you.

I went to go see Mark after I dropped off Benjamin at school. He looks great, the nurses had a voice box in his tracheotomy. The nurse was feeding him pudding. When she was done, he told them he wanted more. They told him you can have more later on. Mark is also doing exercise to get his range of motion back . He needs alot of assistance to transfer to a wheelchair. Anytime Mark is stimulated he jerks alot. Mark told me he loved me and held my hand. It is so good to see that he understands everything we are saying, he also knows who everyone is.

I love you Lord!

Thursday Oct. 23rd 2008 Dad stating he had faith that Mark would be okay

Went over to see mom and dad this morning and dad was talking to Magee Morrow on the phone. I overheard him tell Magee that he had faith that Mark was going to be okay. Then I heard Dad talking about how Dewey Wharton was doing from his fall years ago. Then I heard Dad tell Magee that he believed that Mark was going to be just fine. This was very important to me to witness my dad say this because it showed me the faith that Dad had put in God in stating that he believed he would be healed. God has given my dad the gift of faith.

My Mom and Dad also stated that they wanted to go see Mark and to tell Ronnie that they were thankful for how good she was taking care of Mark.

I went to the doctor with my Dad and Mom this morning. Dad has to go often for his skin . When we got out of the office my youngest brother Sunnie called me and told me about what Mark was doing.  They had started therapy on Mark, boy Sunnie had alot of good things to say. Mark spoke through the voice box in his throat. He said "Where is dad and then where is Mushie [ Charles Marks younger brother ] ." The nurse also ask him if he could name his daughters, he named Melynda who is named after me he then said she was 22 years old then he said Elaine was 19 years old then he said Nellie was 15 years old [Nellie is 18]. Ronnie said that was not a surprise because Mark has always gotten Nellie age wrong .

He also washed under his arms, stomach and feet with a reaching tool by himself. Mark swallowed about 8 spoons of ice chips today and he put his tee shirt on with some help. Mark also lifted his bottom up using his hands to hold himself up so the nurse could pull up Mark's pajamas. This is the first time Mark has been dressed in four weeks [Mark looks so handsome today]. He has been trying to get out of bed several times today he's not as strong as he think's he is but he will be in time.  Mark also was in a wheelchair for a short time the nurse are amazed at how fast Mark is recovering. After Sunnie told me all that he was doing I started to Jump up and down with excitement.

I was praising Lord for his goodness what a wonderful day.  God you are so good and thank you for you Mercy's. 

 Dad, Mom and I where going to head up to the Hospital but Sunnie said that Mark was resting so we decided to go home.  I know I drove my dad crazy because I would not stop talking when I get excited I tend to do this allot. I went up to the hospital latter on to see Mark with my son Mark we had a really good visit with him. Everyday he looks better. Uncle Nicky sang to Mark again he loves it. This puts a smile on his face every time. Kitty Ann and Kitty Cats [Hellen Riddle] called and left massages for Mark he loved them. I got a call from Annie Townsly today she told me how she and everyone she knew was praying for Mark and our whole family[Ronnie and their girls, Dad , Mom, my brothers and sister] this means a great deal to all of us we know that every pray is heard and this is strengthening all of us. When anyone tells us that they are praying for Mark or us, we know the power that is in pray.  But the love that is shown though pray touches our hearts.  We all want to thank everyone for all of the prayer's and please keep them up.

The lord has laid this on my heart today , any time I use a word that a non believer or believer may not know it's meaning. I will try to explain it's meaning as best I can, so I guess I will start now. Non believer means a person that is someone that does not believe that Jesus Christ is both Lord and savior. To a believer, Believer means that Jesus Christ is both Lord and savior of ours Souls and to the world. KJV John 3 :16 For God so loved the world that he gave is only begotten Son.that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,but have ever lasting life.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. We as believers should always show the same kind of love that Jesus did for all man kind as he did for us. 

I ran a cross this pertaining to Marks Miracle[Vine's Concise dictionary of the Bible] Notes:(2) K J V The Negative noun Apistia ,"unbelief is used twice in Matthew 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their un- belief. In reading the first scripture I believe that Jesus choose not to do miracles because the people did not believe Jesus for who he was the messiah the Savior of the world. Matthew 17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. This is pertaining to a boy that Jesus healed. In Matthew17:20 Jesus chose to do this miracle out love and to show the signification of faith. Faith is simply believing in Jesus and what he can do. In Matthew17:20 Jesus said unto them, And Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place and it shall be remove: and nothing shall be impossible.

This also  happened Right after Jesus took Peter, James and John up to a high mountain\ Mount of transfiguration (Matthew17 ,1-13) where the three disciple had just seen Jesus for who he really is the messiah the savior of the world!

Jesus did not Give up on his disciples he just showed them again who he was through his miracles. Jesus will show himself to us over and over again out of love. You are great God

If we doubt that God is capable of doing miracle's, how can we expect him to show us what he can do.

Wednesday october 22nd Marks progress and the holy spirits prompting

I woke up early this morning and God had laid on my heart that I had not prayed for my Dad. I believe that God was burdening my spirit on behalf of my Dad. I then prayed that the Holy spirit would comfort my dad and give him peace of mind about Mark. I went over to see mom and dad and I heard Dad state that Mark was a miracle from God. If thought how wonderful for God to reveal this to my Dad and for dad to reveal this to us. Mom was also saying about how Mark was a Miracle.

Rehabilitation Nurses Notes:

I went to the hospital later that day to see how marks rehabilitation

had gone. This is his first day of rehabilitation and he touched his finger to his nose, spelled out his name on a alphabet board. They also gave Mark a comb and he combed his hair with extra time to process what he needed to do with the comb. Mark also understood the nurse call button and he pushed it excessively. Mark tolerated the voice box for his Tracheotomy but was unable to communicate with it. He attempted to communicate with a soft whisper. He tolerated sitting for 5 minutes. Marks Myaclonus jerks were more excessive when stimulated with touch.

Now on to the good stuff. When I came into Mark it was good to see how much better he looked from yesterday. He looked tired from all the stuff the nurses were asking him to do. I then sat beside him and put his hand on my cheek, he began to rub my cheek with his thumb. I then told him how much I loved him and how much he meant to me. I told him again I loved him and said that your probably tired of hearing me say this and he shook his head no. He mouthed I love you back. I then started to talk to him about all of the things that we use to do together as kids before all our other brothers and sisters were born. I said, do you remember when we were young we always used to play outside alot. We always managed to find frogs, toads, lizards and snakes. I said "remember that the toads always seemed to be so big in our hands?" Mark shook his head yes. I told him "do you remember when you caught 110 trout out of the newly stocked ponds in Shadron, Nebraska and the fish and game warden came down to the trailer as we were cleaning the fish. Remember how much trouble we got into for catching over the limit?" Mark shook his head and smiled. We also talked about the fire flies that we used to catch in the evenings when it was dark. We put them into jars to watch them glow. Mark do you remember when you and Eddie Boswell had bebe guns and you told me and Maggie to run in between the trees and try not to get shot. Mark laughed alot. Then my sister Lillie came in and pushed me to the side. She said that it was her turn to get all the attention, that I had enough attention. Mark just smiled at both of us. I asked Mark if he would like me to call Uncle Nicky (Trail) so he could talk to him and he shook his head yes. So I called and put the speaker phone on and Uncle Nicky said Hi Sparky (he has called Mark Sparky ever since he was a little boy) he sang to Mark Dear Hearts and Gentle People.

They read the good book from Fri to monday, Thats how the weekend goes.

It is one of Marks favorite songs that Uncle Nicky sings. This brought tears of joys to Marks eyes. Uncle Nicky has a beautiful voice. Then he sang Blue Skies Smiling at me and Mark smiled as Uncle Nicky was singing to him. Then he sang a song from Roy Orboson which is one of Marks all time favorite singers. It was Only the Lonely. This brought an even bigger smile to Marks face. Uncle Nicky told him that he bought him a fedora hat for his big head, cause Uncle Nicky said that him and Mark has big heads. I love to hear Uncle Nicky talk to Mark because he always brings a smile to Marks face. I went home happy and excited to see the improvements Mark had made today. We can't thank you Lord enough for what you have done.

My thoughts. God allow me to pay attention to the prompting of your Holy Spirit in my life and help me to be obedient to your will and to do what you ask of me. (In the dictionary Holy Spirit means In christianity, the third person in the trinity. God as spiritually active in the world.) God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

In adding these scriptures to this blog I am trying to explain a little more about the Holy Spirit for those of you who are not familiar about the gospel of Jesus Christ (the Gospels meaning is the good news of Christ).

Acts 1:4

Jesus said “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Acts 1:7-8

He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you: and you will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, to the ends of the earth.”

They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

22-24 “Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

I would like to explain a little bit about Acts 2:25-34 This prophesy was fulfilled by Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour written by David please reference Psalms 16:8-11

Acts 2 25-34

25 David said about him:

“’I saw the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope,

27 Because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

29 “Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.

30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him an oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

31 Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay.

32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.

33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, “’The Lord said to my Lord: ”Sit at my right hand

35 Until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

I would like to explain Acts 2:34 Peter quoted this scripture from Psalms 110:1 the first name Lord refers to God the Father, and where it says My Lord it refers to God the Son which is Jesus Christ and Peter was stating Jesus’ deity in this scripture. God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. I would like to state that the grave did not hold Jesus and was witnessed by over 500 people at one time. All 12 disciples except one (John) were either crucified or put to death for the sake of spreading the good news of the gospel.

Tuesday Oct. 21 2008 Marks move.

We woke up this morning, Mark was suppose to have been moved to Elks Rehabilitation Hospital by 1:00, they did not move him until 3:00. We were waiting for a bed to be prepared for Mark that has an air mattress so he will not get bed sores. Before we left we were visiting Mark and my boy Ben asked my Mom what a small round steel ball was that was on his bed. My mom told Ben to ask his Uncle Mark what a steely was. (Kids use to play marbles during recess at school and steelies were the prized win). Mark was very good at marbles and he had a lot of steelies, big and small. Ben asked Mark and Mark motioned his thumb like he was shooting marbles with his thumb. Boy that put smiles on all of our faces. They put a smaller Tracheotomy in Marks throat today and hopefully by next week he won't have it in his throat any more. He keeps trying to take the hose to his Tracheotomy and put it over his head to take it off.

Uncle John and I were talking on the phone last night and we were talking about how people view the bible. People without knowing Christ see Gods laws as condemnation. For believers in Christ, it is not about condemnation but about forgiveness and about Gods love for us. God has not condemned anybody and will not do so until the last day of judgement. God has made a way through Jesus Christ for payment of all sins for all mankind. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting Life. God made this provision for all mankind to have a relationship with Him strictly out of love for us.

Monday Oct. 20th 2008 Mark has not been moved yet My correction from the Lord

Mark has not been moved yet. I woke up early this morning thinking about what was going to happen today and what I could do to make this move happen. Then God spoke to my heart that I had not asked for his provision for Mark. I then started to pray and ask God for forgiveness for not giving the situation over to Him. I then prayed that if it was his will for Mark to be at the Elks Rehabilitation Hospital He would make a way. I have been corrected by God many times in the past for taking things into my own hands and not allowing God to do his will in many situations. When I have interfered to try and make things better they don't always seem to turn out the way that they should and yet I make the same mistakes over and over again. God has shown me many times His way is the best way and still I have a hard time doing things His way. Thank you for having patience with me and teaching me over and over again.

I went to the hospital this morning with the intentions of praying with Ronnie and Mom about Marks situation and it was already taken care of. I had told Ronnie how God has corrected me. She told me that she had been praying everytime before she got on the phone to the insurance company that God would make a way. This made me laugh at myself. How great God is.

Mark had a sore between his toes and Sunnie moved back the bed sheet to lo0k at his toe, he mad a motion that his toe smelled bad. Mark lifted up his foot towards Sunnies face and then smiled big. We all had a big laugh.

Sunday Oct 19th 2008 Sunday morning service

I Woke up and we went to church at Calvary First Assembly Church (cfaboise.org). There was a guest speaker from the congregation who would no longer be there because he was moving out of the area. His name was Steve Berwick, he is moving to Post Falls due to his work. He taught on

1 Samuel 14: 6-23 One of the questions was Who are you and who do you belong to? I wrote on a notepad I belong to Jesus Christ, My Lord and Saviour! My King!! Jonathan realized that there was nothing too big for God whether there is many or few. Israel is Gods chosen people and God intervened on behalf of Israel for Jonathan because he loves his chosen people. I believe God intervened for Marks well being simply because he loves Mark and us.

I wish that I had gone to bed Trusting what the lord could do.

Marks girl Nellie went in to visit him on Sunday night while she was talking to him, he mouthed to her "shut up" and then pointed at the TV because he was watching the world series. Ben and I came into the room later on, Ben was dressed as Ironman in his costume. As we entered the door Mark motioned with his pointer finger at Ben to come over to him. I put Ben on a chair and Ben took off his Ironman mask and Mark started to pinch Bens cheek. As I was talking to Mark, the TV started to roar from the crowd cheering about the world series game and Mark immediately looked at the TV. It's nice to see that some things never change. Mark still likes to watch whats going on. He loves his TV. (in that instance Mark had processed two things at once and the doctor said that that would be hard for Mark to do at this time.) Thank you Lord!!

Saturday Oct. 18th 2008 Nellie went home to her family

Nellie went home to her family. This was really hard for Nellie cause she didn't want to leave Mark but her kids were being cared for by her mother and father in-law Woletta and Paul Bryer and also Kitty Ann Boswell. We can't thank you enough for doing this for Nellie. She will be coming back on November 3rd to spend more time with Mark. 

Great improvement's. Sunnie went into see Mark and he was talking to him about how they would go to Canada next year. Mark always liked Canadian fishing. Charles (Mushie), came into the room and said that he wanted to go to Canada too. Mark shook his head no at Charles and pointed at Sunnie and shook his head yes, meaning that it was only Mark and Sunnies trip. Then he proceeded to laugh. Mark was torturing the life out of Charles. This made everyone happy to see that Mark still had his same sense of humor. We have seen every emotion on Mark, we have  seen nothing but good things to come for Mark. We know that it is going to be a long road but we are happy to go down it.  PRAISE GOD!!

Friday Oct. 17th 2008 Having problems where Mark can be moved to.

This Friday we are finding out that we are having problems with his insurance in getting Mark moved to Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Hospital. (www.idahoelksrehab.org) The process has been started and we are praying that it goes through. We are worried because we were turned down one time and we are scared that it will happen again. I am having a problem with how slow things are moving and I want my brother moved as fast as possible to this facility because I feel that this best suits Marks needs for now. This is a neurological ward that can help Mark get back on his feet and functioning as he did before the accident. I went to bed worried that I could have done more today to try to get this done for Mark. I have not been able to go to the hospital because my kids are sick but my brothers and sister told me that Mark has made some improvements from the day before. This brings great joy to me to know that he is improving. Thank you God for your goodness.

I spoke to Mary Williams today and she told me that she just got done talking to Jim and Jim said that he could not wait until he could talk to Mark about what happened. Jim left and Mary went in to take a shower in her travel trailer. While she was washing her hair, she was thinking about Mark and then she heard a loud voice from her living room that said "THIS IS ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD" !

Thursday Oct 16th 2008 Mom and Dad thanking God for all he has done

I went to the hospital to see my brother this morning they were giving him a bath so we had wait out in the lobby. MOM , me and Elaine. Mom wanted to share something with me she told me how much closer her and Dad had gotten and how much she loves my Dad . Mom had also said how she always counted on Dad for everything, anything she needed Dad took care of her even when it came to us kids. She knew Dad would take care of us, but this was out of Dad hands and into Gods and she told him today that Mark was in God's hand's and God was taking care of Mark and she wanted to thank him and give the praise to God for what God was doing. My Dad told my Mom that he was thanking God every day for what God had done. Mark is doing well and improving everyday. Thank you for showing yourself to us God.

Wednesday Oct. 15th 2008 Marks Improvements and Insurance Problems

Mark has started to be more aware of everything around him. He definitely knows who we all are. He is starting to look outside his room when people walk by in the hall. He doesn't like it when they give him shots in his stomach for  blood thinning. He moves both hands to his stomach when they do this. This is very encouraging to us to see that he reacts to pain. He has kissed Ronnie, Mom and also his Girls. Mark has beautiful thick lips we are so happy that he is able to do this. Our whole family can't stop smiling for the joy that we feel inside.  God you know our every need and you supply it. Thank you for caring about everything that matters in our lives. 

 

 

A new day and we are finding out that Marks insurance is not sufficient for his needs the Complex Care Hospital Of Idaho District Office has felt that's Marks insurance is to much of a risk for them to take. We want to thank Kevin Spainhower for working on be half of Mark to try to get him into this facility he came over to St. Luke's Hospital to tell us in person that it was not going to happen at this time. Thank you Kevin for trying. We then moved forward into looking for a good rehabilitation Hospital. Lenny , Ronnie and I went to go grab something to eat to decide what to do next. We decided to go to the Idaho State Insurance Department to see what benefits Mark actually had with his Insurance. Then spoke to Sandy Lachowsky at the consumer of affairs Office. Sandy was a great help in explaining all of Marks benefits. We are finding flaws where the coverage falls short of all his needs. When Mark and Ronnie purchased this policy they were under the impression that they had purchased a major medical plan and they were willing to pay the 3,000 plus 20 percent of any bills that needed to be paid if anything major were to happen. Sandy then informed us the importance of looking at the EXCLUSIONS FIRST TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE NOT COVERED FOR. I believe that their should be legislation to inform the citizens of Idaho by any insurance company selling insurance to inform them of the exclusions up front and it should be signed by the policy holder. (Separate signature for exclusions required). The reason for this is so the Idah0 taxpayers do not have to pay for the short falls of the insurance because the policyholders have been misinformed. Ronnie has stated over and over again the reason that Mark and Ronnie purchased this policy was so that it would protect them in case of a major medical event. We are finding that it is insufficient. Had they known this they would not have purchased this policy. The whole reason to purchase this was to protect them and their assets. It is a shame that Idaho taxpayers have to pay for the short falls of the insurance companies when people are not covered for things that they think they are. Thank you Sandy for all your help.

Tuesday Oct. 14th 2008 Start of Marks Recovery

Mark still has a Tracheotomy, feeding tube and catheter so he is requiring acute care. We have found a new place in Meridian, which will take him for rehabilitation. It is a new facility and we believe this is the best place for Mark to go. We are very excited about moving Mark over there and getting him started. Mark has started to move his right hand and also his left. He is squeezing with his left hand when we ask him to. He has smiled at us and he also cries when we tell him certain things. I believe that these are tears of joy.

 

 

On Tuesday I spoke to Mark and I told him how God was using him and the whole world is praying for him. People who don' t even know him, have been praying continually. I also asked him if he remembered how he told me that he wanted to be used by God. I could tell by looking at his face he knew exactly what I was talking about. I told him about this blog and how I was going to tell everyone what happened and what God was doing for him. I told him I knew that he was going to be just fine cause God told us and he started to cry. I know that these are tears of joy. I also told him that I couldn’t wait for him to tell me what he has seen. I told him not to worry about the girls and Ronnie cause they were all being taken care of. Not to worry about anything else cause everything was just fine. God is in control of all this. My brother since he has woke up has heard I love you so much that I am sure that he is sick of hearing it. We are so excited we just can't stop saying it. I thought how it is so sad that we don't express our love and feelings for each other more often. Thank you Lord for the great joy that you have given us today!!

Monday Oct 13th 2008 Awake

Monday morning I woke and prayed that God would allow Nellies (Marks daughter) dream to be fulfilled. This is the third day since Nellie had her dream. Around 10:00 am Mark had awoken and had become aware of everything around him. We were all so excited and praising God and thanking him for what he has done for us and for Mark. We could not wipe the smiles off of any of our faces. This has been the best day of our life. We started calling all of the people who have called and are praying for Mark to tell them the good news and rejoice. Mark is fully comprehending what we are saying to him. The hospital called in the doctors to reassess Marks condition and to decide where he could best recover from here. Mark is still jerking from the Myclones and his head injury, which is a noxic head injury. God is good and we know Mark is going to have a full recovery!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord for what you have done!

Sunday Oct 12th 2008 Melyndas Baptism and Giving God the Glory

My niece Melynda (Marks olderst girl) had called me sunday morning to say she was getting baptised at St Pauls Baptist Church in Boise. I got down on my hands and knees and prayed that God would answer Nellie's dream. If not today or tomorrow whenever he desired to do so. (In Gods time). Melynda doesn't know yet what has happened to her dad because it is too upsetting and hard for her to deal with right now. I called all of our family to come. Most of our family came and also Alex and Kathy Simpson. Melynda found St Pauls Baptist church all on her own, it was her second week there and she deceided to get baptised . We all went to watch, the message was on giving God the glory for all things and thanking him for his mercies. One scripture which was given was

 

 

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods will is---his good, pleasing and perfect will. NIV

the precious oil represents the holy spirit fully surrounding Aarons whole body. I know that God has surrounded us with his holy spirit because we have great peace and we know that God is in control of this. Thank you for your peace oh precious Lord!

Friday Oct. 10th 2008 Marks girl Nellies dream

I went up to the hospital to see my brother; he is still in a coma state. As I left his room I ran into his daughter Nellie and she had a smile on her face. She told me about a dream she had, that her dad had woke up from his coma (she didn't know whether it was the first, second or third day in her dream) and that he couldn't talk yet, but he was awake and he was no longer in his coma. He knew us. I told her that I was so happy to hear that. I went home and prayed, I told God that I hope this is from you, and then I prayed that the dream would come true.

Wednesday Oct. 8th 2008 Gods goodness in showing us his mercy

They put a tube for feeding into Mark's stomach. They moved him out of ICU and into a regular hospital room. It was so good to see Mark without the ventilator and feeding tube in his mouth. Mark had began to show more signs of becoming more aware and jerks where less severe.

Fred Smith the Third had come into town to see Mark. He had been talking to Mark about hunting before the accident and the scopes they had purchased. Fred had told Mark that he was going to take his gun and try it out and Mark's eyes opened wide. Fred kept talking to Mark about hunting and Mark was focusing on us. Fred moved to the left side of Mark and asked him to look at him to see if Mark was following commands. He looked at Freddie when Freddie told him he was going to take his mule hunting. Freddie was talking to Mark about hunting and we saw a smirk on Mark's face when Freddie was talking about the things he was going to do.

I left the room and informed everybody. I told my husband Hank, and Alex in the waiting room to go see Mark that he was awake. I then walked down to the cafeteria and told Mom, Nellie, Lilly, and Elaine that he was awake, and to get up there if they wanted to see him awake.

Hank was talking to Mark when Mom arrived. Mom spoke and Mark looked to the left to see her. We where all so excited to see Mark awake for a longer time. The nurse came in and said Mark look to your left and Mark wasn't moving his eyes as much to the left as the nurse wanted so Hank said loudly "Mark look hard to the left." Mark did. We all got so excited and happy and Mark started to physically cry.

Hank, Mom, Nellie, Lilly, Elaine, and myself were all around Mark and wanted to pray for him. Hank's prayer was that God would comfort Mark and let him know he would be OK and that we were all there for him and not to be afraid. (While Hank was praying we watched Mark and he started crying.) Hank and I went home that night I had seen such a joyous change in him, he had seen what God was doing. I thought about the night before when he told me he was doubting Thomas.I look in my NIV bible at{ John 20:26 Jesus said " Peace be with you". 27 then he said to to Thomas, Put your finger here; see my hands . Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop Doubting and believe }. God is so good he did not condemn Thomas but he showed him what he needed to see. My hope is that everyone could see the great love that Christ has for us and how he would love to reveal himself to us. All we need to do is ask! God used Thomas to start his ministry to the east India Thomas was martyred there for proclaiming the good news about Jesus Christ

Tuesday Oct 7th 2008 Confirmation about what God is doing

Mark is showing some improvement. He is still in a coma and opening his eyes randomly and sometimes on commands. He doesn't like it when the Doctors are messing with him. His tongue was very swollen and obstructing his airway. He had surgery to put in a Tracheotomy so that his airways would be clear.

Hank and I went home that night and Hank said that he had to see for himself what Mark was doing. He said he didn't want to be a doubting Thomas. But he needed to see for himself.

 

My girl Rena told me she had dream about her uncle and that he would walk out of this, so did Art a person that work's for Mark on occasion. I seen aunt Gail and Maggie at the hospital she told me Kattie dreamed that Mark walked in to them and told them that he was a Miracle. Thank you lord for every encouraging word. 

Monday Oct. 6th 2008 Confirmation of Gods Promises

The Neurologist had decided not to do the MRI. Mark was still in and out of the coma, with eyes open but with random movements. The Doctor felt that these were simply uncontrolled reactions and he didn't give us a lot of hope. The Doctor realized that Ronnie and all of the family had chosen to move forward with Mark's recovery. There was some improvement with Mark over the weekend.                     Emily my daughter came down stairs to ask me how her Uncle was doing I told her about the same, but Mary Williams had told me that God spoke in her heart that Mark was going to walk out of this. It was the same thing God had spoke to me. My girl then told me that she had dream about holding Mary and Jim's baby girl and how their baby looked just like Jim .[Mary and Jim have been trying to have a baby for nineteen years .God has Promised Mary and Jim  a girl named Faith.] I told Mary about Emily's dream and she told me she was talking to God a few days ago and how she told the lord she would not care if Faith would look like Jim. Mary was very happy to hear about Emily's dream. Lord thank you for all the thing's you do!

Sunday Oct. 5th 2008 Lazarus Raised From the Dead

I went to Calvary first assembly of God church in Boise, Idaho. We had a guest speaker who was a missionary from Africa. He spoke on

John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life, He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" NIV after I read this scripture I immediately saw

 

John 11:4 "This sickness will not end in death, No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it" NIV

 

After that I saw in

 

John 11:23 "Your brother will rise again" NIV

 

These words that God has spoken is truth he has shone us his truth through many believers. All through John 11 is a story so close to Marks incident. Lazarus was in the grave for 4 days and Mark was in a coma for 4 days when the doctors told us that he was in a vegetative state and that he had no hope of recovery.

 

John 11 :40-44 "Did I not tell you that if you believed, that you would see the glory of God?...Jesus looked up and said "Father I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me" When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus , come out!" The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go." NIV

 

Uncle John had spoken of this earlier this week how he gave Mark a new name and his name was Lazarus and he would take off his grave clothes and put on the clothes of righteousness. John 11: 45 "Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, put their faith in him." NIV

I went up for prayer and God sent an elderly woman up to pray with me. She wept with me and prayed for me and my family and on Marks behalf. What a comfort I received from her. God you are so good and you know what I needed at that moment and you so graciously gave it to me. Thank you for your tender mercies.

Saturday October 4th 2008

About the same things are going on. Eyes opening and focusing for family and friends. God has upheld all our faith and when one is weak he has allowed others to be strong. We thank God that he has given us strength.

Uncle John's son Aaron flew in from Oklahoma. Aaron went back with Justin to see Mark Mom was with him in the room Aaron and Justin Prayed over Mark with Mom  it strengthened Mom that day

Paul Bryer flew to Montana to get Sunnie's truck and trailer.

Friday Oct. 3rd 2008 Gods hand in this miracle and Frank Kelbies confirmation

The new Neurologist gave us the same assessment as the first. He wants to do a MRI so that we can make a decision what to do with Mark. He had prescribed a new medication for Marks Myclonus jerks along with his other medications. Ronnie had talked to the doctor about how we had twoUncles and a friend with traumatic brain injury and how God had perfomed a miracle on them [ Dewey Wharton, Robert Wharton & Dennis Hackett ] the Doctor told her that Mark was different then them, he had lack of oxegen to the brain. We told the doctor that God was still doing a mircale for Mark just like he did for our Uncles and friend. Later on that day my Mom and Uncle John were by Mark's left side as I entered his room, I saw that Mark's eyes where open and looking at them. I went to Mark's right side and motioned Mom to stop talking and told Mark to look at me. Mark's eyes then looked to the right side where I was standing and focused on me. I stopped talking and motioned Mom to speak and Mark looked at Mom and Uncle John and focused on them. We did this again and Mark followed commands again. Mark started to cry and we could see the full emotion was on his face. We were so excited and started thanking God for what he was doing.

Uncle John had phoned Frank Kelbie and Frank said that God had spoken to him "Stand firm and don't waiver." "Hold your position." Mark was going to be fine. I watched my Uncle with his hands swaying from side to side thanking him for the miracles he was doing for Mark. We were so excited and glorifying God for what he was doing. We are thankful for words of encouragement that God has revealed to us from his other believers.
